Alexia Fabre is chief curator of MAC/VAL, a contemporary art museum located in Vitry-sur-Seine. A graduate of the Ecole du Louvre, she is a knight of the order of arts and letters. In 2009 and 2011, she co-directed the artistic direction of Nuit Blanche with Frank Lamy.

Biography

A graduate of the National Heritage Institute in 1993, Alexia Fabre was curator of the Hautes-Alpes (Gap) departmental museum from 1993 to 1998, when she took over the management of the future museum of contemporary art in Vitry-sur-Seine, Val-de-Marne, the MAC VAL. In 2005, the year of its opening, she initiated the collection of “Parcours” books published by MAC / VAL, works relating to the museum's collections. Alexia Fabre notably co-wrote Le vent se lève, the catalog for the 2021 exhibition. In 2007, she was appointed Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. In 2009 and 2011, she co-directed the artistic direction of Nuit Blanche with Franck Lamy.
